Best airport for most trips
Fly into Billings Logan International Airport
Billings is the nearest major commercial airport for most Red Lodge trips. The drive follows US 212 south through the plains and foothills before reaching town beneath the Beartooths.
Reserve a rental car at the airport; Red Lodge has no useful passenger rail or scheduled local transit for the mountain routes. Bozeman adds a much longer drive and fits only when the broader Montana trip already includes that area.
